Thehighlight of Beauty in the Pot's menu here is definitely their soup bases, of which there are six. Yes, six! Diners are truly spoilt for choice! Here's what we think of the 4 soup bases we tried: 1. Signature Beauty Collagen Broth: A milky and thick soup, creamy to some extent. Bountiful in flavor.
Itturns out that she ordered some of the popular hot pot items which are also recommended by other food bloggers. Twin pot: Beauty Collagen Soup ($15.50) + Spicy Nourishing Broth ($12.50) She ordered the classic Beauty Collagen Soup, made from Shark collagen. If I knew it was shark collagen back then, I would not have even dined at this restaurant.
Atmosphereis really good. I have been beauty in the pot VivoCity yesterday night with my best friend. All the environment is good, e specially the college soup is really fantastic and good taste. One of the service crew is always smile and make a a day.
63QoZx. Beauty in the Pot was where we headed to for a simple birthday celebration this evening. Also known as 美滋锅, Beauty in the Pot is often compared against another competitor in the hotpot scene – Hai Di Lao. Hence, in this post, we’ll do a review of Beauty in the Pot and do a simple comparison with the offerings of Hai Di Lao… Beauty in the Pot 美滋锅 Promotion – 20% off After 10pm Beauty in the Pot is a hotpot concept by the Paradise Group. As the name “Beauty in The Pot 美滋锅” suggests, they are touted to be offering “health and beauty with every steaming pot of soup”. The hotpots here not only offers rich flavours, but also nourishment. We’re hoping that our skin texture will become more “taong” vibrant after our meal here! To enjoy further savings, we headed to Beauty in the Pot after 10pm. This is because, after 10pm daily, you’ll be able to enjoy 20% off food ingredients. Do note that this excludes soup bases, condiments and drinks. Still, a 20% discount? Why not? 😄 Beauty in the Pot 美滋锅 Menu and Soup Bases Beauty in the Pot Soup Base Selection The first step of dining at hotpot restaurants is the selection of the broth. At Beauty in the Pot, there are 6 different soup bases to choose from extracted from Beauty in the Pot Menu Beauty Collagen Broth 胶原蛋白养颜美容锅 “More than eight hours of hard work goes into the making of this dense and collagen-rich soup. Freshly prepared every day, meticulous attention is devoted to maintaining the quality of soup. Simmered for long hours, the pork bone broth contains luxurious Chinese herbs including red dates, wolfberries, ginseng, dang gui, dang shen and more. Flavoured with Szechuan chilli oil, savour the unparalleled intensity of spice and herbs in each pot.” Vitamin C Tomato Sweet Corn Broth 维他命C番茄玉米锅 “Tomatoes are not only an excellent source of vitamin C, but also packed full of other antioxidants and several nutrients that are highly beneficial for health. The 4th will be filled with water. In this way, you can taste 3 different soup broths at a cheaper rate as compared to a single pot. We chose Beauty Collagen Broth $ Spicy Nourishing Broth $ and the Herbal Drunken Chicken Broth $ which is cheaper than going for a whole pot of Beauty Collagen Broth at $ Beauty in the Pot Menu For the selection of ingredients, it is done by the touchscreen pad provided by Beauty in the Pot. We found the platters to be rather good options. Here are some selected platters that we extracted from Beauty in the Pot Menu… Beauty in the Pot Menu Assorted Beef and Pork Platter Beauty in the Pot Menu Assorted Meat Paste and Seafood Platter Beauty in the Pot Menu Seafood Platter This time, we chose the beef platter $58, La Mian noodles – $ 2 Signature Homemade Fish Tofu $ and 2 portions of condiments $9… What we had at Beauty in the Pot Although this time we didn’t order drinks, you can have a reference on the pricing of drinks at Beauty in the Pot from its drinks menu… Beauty in the Pot Drinks Menu Price wise, Beauty in the Pot is pretty similar to Hai Di Lao. Moreover, Hai Di Lao does have the 20% discount after 10pm as well – albeit only at selected outlets which are mostly located in town. You may also like Hai Di Lao Somerset Set Lunch Review Excellent Food and Service at a Great Price! What We Had at Beauty in the Pot 美滋锅 Beauty in the Pot Condiments Section The sauce we concocted from the condiments section of Beauty in the Pot Side dishes from Beauty in the Pot After ordering, it was time to head to the condiment section to get our sauces and the side dishes available. In the condiments department, we have to say that Hai Di Lao trumps Beauty in the Pot slightly. In terms of condiments selection, HDL has a wider selection and the side dish options were better. During our visit, there was only 1 decent side dish – the seaweed but at HDL you’ll be able to have selections such as beancurd skin and even mushrooms. Lastly, at HDL, if you order the drinks, it comes with dessert options of beancurd, ice cream etc which is another option that beats Beauty in the Pot from the condiments perspective. Beauty in the Pot Collagen Herbal Chicken and Spicy Pork Broth with Signature Fish Tofu and La Mian Beauty in the Pot – Top Up of Soup / Broth Beauty in the Pot Beef Platter In the taste department, we have to say that Beauty in the Pot wins Hai Di Lao hands down. The Beauty Collagen Broth was just so good. Rich, creamy and not so salty. You can be satisfied with the soup just by itself. No need for meats to be cooked within for the broth to be “sweetened”. The signature fish tofu was as good as advertised. Fresh with the melt-in-your-mouth texture. On the other hand, we also enjoyed the signature mashed prawn from Hai Di Lao – though it was comparatively more expensive. Lastly, the portion of the beef platter was generous included US Wagyu Beef, US Angus Prime Short Ribs, Sliced US Beef, US Marbled Beef Cube and though we only ordered this meat platter, we were very much satisfied by the end of the meal. If you enjoyed our content, “Like” us on Facebook Today! All in all, we enjoyed the experience at Beauty in the Pot. We also did a comparison between Beauty in the Pot and Hai Di Lao, finding Beauty in the Pot to be better in the taste department but losing out in the condiments department. Price wise, both were comparable. This means that… If you’re a food connoisseur and taste matters more to you, definitely head to Beauty in the Pot to get your dose of the rich, creamy and tasty broths offered here. If you’re looking for a venue to just chill with your mates, with the better free-flow condiments options at Hai Di Lao is definitely a better option. Also, service is much better at HDL too. We hope you have enjoyed our review of Beauty in The Pot 美滋锅 and the comparison with Hai Di Lao. Let us know more of what you think in the comments section below! If you’re wondering why the 20% discount was not reflected in the receipt above, it was eventually applied when we asked for the final bill. Yup, the 20% discount after 10pm works! These few items are always my default order everytime. ◾Others - fish or prawn paste, fish balls, fish maw, drunken prawns. It actually felt cruel to witness the live prawns yes!
